Will Bandai Namco Announce The Release Date Of ‘Tekken X Street Fighter’ Next Year?

Ever since Bandai Namco confirmed "Tekken X Street Fighter" to happen, fans have been wondering when will the release date of the fighting game happen.

However, many websites, such as Uber Gizmo, say that the crossover title for the PS4, Xbox One and the arcades may see the light of day in 2016.

With minimal reports regarding the game, Famitsu, however confirmed that fans should have their eyes open for the release date of "Tekken X Street Fighter" after Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that they are still working on the game although they still have a lot of work to do.

"I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," Harada said. "It might seem like we haven't started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago and we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."

With no release dates discussed for "Tekken X Street Fighter," the creator of the game hinted that they may release the game by surprise.

"It's very difficult to talk about," he said. "Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at."

"People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise."

For now, some fans believe that they could probably see the game in action anytime next year, while Bandai Namco works on the release of "Tekken 7" for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Although the fighting game is already out for the arcade, release for the consoles may happen early 2016.
