Christina Aguilera News: 'The Voice' Brings Back Matt Rutler's Fiancee To Avoid Drama Between Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani?

The latest news on Christina Aguilera is that she's returning to "The Voice" as rumors about the impending romance between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani continue to persist.

Paul Telegdy, NBC president of late night and alternative programming, said that in season 10, Matt Rutler's fiancee will be back to the judge's chair, joining regulars Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharell Williams.

"The coaches on The Voice continue to bring incredible energy, unrivaled musical expertise and a want-to-win attitude that makes for the perfect ingredients of a two-time Emmy-winning show," he said. "We can't wait to see what season 10 will bring."

Aside from "The Voice," Christina Aguilera shared the news that she's releasing new tracks.

"I've been loosely working and sort of accumulating ideas of what my next album will be over the last couple of years," she told the Today show. "I'm excited for my fans to finally be getting something from me; it's been a while."

But Celebrity Dirty Laundy claimed in a news article that there's a deeper reason behind Christina Aguilera's return to "The Voice" season 10.

"'The Voice' producers obviously encourage some flirting and banter between the judges - it makes for good TV," it said. "But, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani actually hooking up on the set could lead to some serious problems among the cast and crew."

The article added that if things go bad between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, the producers didn't want their problems to spill over onto the set, which is why Christina Aguilera is returning for season 10.

This is welcome news for Christina Aguilera in the wake of the recent reports involving Matt Rutler's fiancee where she supposedly thinks that Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and Britney Spears are has beens because they accepted a Las Vegas residency.

Of course, it was prompted by Christina Aguilera's manager Irving Azoff's comments where he told Pauly Shore, "No disrespect to Britney, or to Jennifer Lopez, who's doing [a residency], and Shania [Twain], who did one, but Christina's not peaked yet," he said.
