Daniel Craig Says He Loves Playing 'James Bond' Amid 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Ellen Pompeo's Call Out On Twitter

"Spectre" star Daniel Craig will play James Bond as long as the studio asks him to, and as long as his body would allow it. The statement in the wake of Ellen Pompeo slamming the recent comments of the actor that he'd rather kill himself than play Agent 007 once again.

The comment was made to TimeOut London, as shared by Time, where Daniel Craig said that he would rather break the glass he was holding at that time and "slash my wrists" than do another James Bond Movie.

"No, not at the moment," he said. "Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."

The comment could be attributed to exhaustion and tediousness after he just finished the latest James Bond movie, which takes seven to eight months to shoot compared to the average movie which takes about three to four months of filming.

But Ellen Pompeo called out Daniel Craig over his James Bond comment via Twitter after linking to a JustJared article as she wrote, "This dude needs a reality check."

In another interview with London's Mirror, Daniel Craig confirmed that he's doing another James Bond film according to the contract he signed.

So how long can he play James Bond after "Spectre?"

"He's old now, 47... But as long as he's physically able. Which isn't that long! I'm contracted for one more film which seems to be a fair number, but I'm not going to make predictions," he said.

When asked why the "Spectre" star continues to put his body through such abuse while playing James Bond, Daniel Craig quipped, "Money! No, I love playing him."

"It's an honor to play him, I get such a big kick out of doing it. I had an opportunity with Casino Royale to wipe the slate clean," he added. "I'm not saying it was a rebirth of Bond, that sounds conceited and I was a huge fan of Bond before. But I couldn't just do a movie where I was going to straighten the tie and drink a Martini, it's all been done before. It had to happen in the right way."
