Jeremy Lin Update: Point Guard Looking Good With Hornets; MJ Sees Him As Key Newcomer

Things are looking good for new Charlotte Hornets point guard Jeremy Lin as not only was he spectacular in their game against the Clippers in China, he was also called by His Airness, Michael Jordan, as their greatest acquisition this off-season.

Jeremy Lin came from the Los Angeles Lakers last season and although many teams have made their offer to the 27 year-old point guard, he ultimately decided to sign with the Hornets.

For Lin, the opportunity that Charlotte presents make him feel less pressured and he believes he can play his natural game with the ball club. He will likely be playing behind point guard Kemba Walker, whose game is a bit similar to him.

During the pre-season games, Jeremy Lin has been fantastic on both sides of the court. In their game against the LA Clippers in China, Lin dazzled with 16 points off the bench and led his team to a 106-94 victory.

"We're very happy to play the first ever NBA Global Games in Shenzhen. Thank you for having us, fans," said Lin via Yahoo Sports.

"I think I've been able to get a lot of really good shots. Fluidity and motion, as long as I keep working on it, will get even better."

Michael Jordan joined his trip in their trip to China and he was asked by reporters what he thinks of the Asian-American point guard.

"We just got Jeremy Lin, who I think is going to be our biggest acquisition," Jordan told the Xinhua News Agency. "His penetration, his shooting capability, his point guard savvy, he can really pass the basketball, his energy about the game of basketball."

Will this be the beginning of Jeremy Lin's resurgence to "Linsanity?" Stay tuned.
