There's an alleged race to become the Queen of England, and it's between Camilla Parker Bowles and Kate Middleton.

An article from Globe magazine claimed that the Duchess of Cornwall is scheming to become the next in line once Queen Elizabeth steps down from the throne.

But Kate Middleton, or more specifically her mother Carole Middleton, is allegedly not taking the threat lightly as she's determined to put Prince William to the throne. However, Camilla Parker Bowles reportedly has a secret weapon in her alleged plan to become queen.

"This man, a multimillionaire on first-name terms with many royals, approached BOTH Charles and his crusty old father, Prince Philip, and laid out the reasons the traditional line of succession must remain intact - with Camilla becoming Queen," it alleged.

Globe didn't name the man in question, but described him as a lover of Camilla Parker Bowles.

But why would Prince Charles go along with the plan? Apparently, the Duke of Cornwall is so "weak-willed" that he's easily influenced by Camilla Parker Bowles.

Although Prince Phillip doesn't like Camilla Parker Bowles from the outset, he might have to side with her in the feud with Kate Middleton for the throne.

"Phillip doesn't even want her in the family," the source said. "But he was told that if Charles and Camilla are not the next King and Queen, it will mean the end of the Monarchy."

It's been widely speculated that Queen Elizabeth will hand over the throne to Prince William, bypassing Prince Charles in the process.

OK! magazine said that Queen Elizabeth II has broken tradition before and she's about to break another one by naming Prince William as the next in line.

"They're stunned. The idea of having Charles step aside for the good of the monarchy had been whispered about, but they never believed it would happen," the source claimed. "When Kate found out, the first thing she did was call her mum and dad. They are absolutely overwhelmed."
