Manny Pacquiao Says Shoulder Is Almost Healed; Still Wants A Piece Of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao says he is close to resuming his training as his shoulder injury is almost healed.

According to Pac-Man, once he is cleared to resume full contact activities, he will now look at possible opponents for him in 2016.

But, the only person that comes into his mind right now is recently retired American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., who he fought last May 2 but ultimately lost via unanimous decision.

So what keeps Mayweather Jr. on Pacquiao's wishlist?

"If you ask me, of course, I want a rematch," Pacquiao said. "I heard that he retired already. If he really retired, then there's no rematch. But if not, " implying that Mayweather should choose him among other fighters.

Again, he reminisced about the "Fight of the Century" and he addressed once again the undefeated boxer's style of hit and run boxing.

"He kept moving around and didn't want to fight toe to toe with me, exchanging punches," Pacquiao said via Fox Sports.

Asked once again if he believes a rematch is possible, Pacquiao said, "I think so, especially (after) I fixed my shoulder."

Once Pacquiao fulfills his last fight this 2016, he is expected to retire and shift his attention on Philippine politics. It was reported a few days ago that Pacquiao will be running for the Senate office in his home country.

According to Rappler, Manny Pacquiao made his announcement during his stay at his home town, General Santos City.

"In the coming days, I will be embracing new levels of responsibility. I will be confronting tough challenges," he said.

"My second term as your congressmen will soon be over, but I will continue to be of service you and to our fellow Filipinos."
