Detroit Pistons Trade Rumors: Brandon Jennings Out, Markieff Morris In?

Will the Detroit Pistons make some moves before the season begins? Latest trade rumors suggest that they are interested in re-uniting Marcus Morris with his twin, Markieff Morris who is currently playing for the Phoenix Suns.

The disgruntled Suns forward expressed his frustration on the Suns management when they did not even inform him that his brother will be traded away to the Pistons.

"One thing for sure, I am not going to be there," Morris said a month ago. "If you want to put that out there, you can put that out. I don't give a [freak]. I am not going to be there at all. That's just what it is."

But in recent days, he had a change of heart and confirmed that he wants to play for the Phoenix Suns.

"I want to be here," he said, per the Associated Press.

Now, there are some rumblings that the Detroit Pistons are trying to acquire Markieff from the Suns per Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press. He also said that the current line-up won't be enough to make the playoffs as Eastern Conference teams are steadily improving as well.

"I think the Pistons will field the best team they've had during this playoff drought," Ellis said. "But with the Eastern Conference getting better, will that be enough to snap the longest streak of not making the playoffs in the conference? Right now, I'm leaning toward no. So I will guess 35, 36 wins - just missing the playoffs."

He also said something interesting about Brandon Jennings as he believes there is a chance he will be traded somewhere else before the season begins. It is worth noting that the Detroit Pistons are putting their money on Reggie Jackson.

"I reserve the right to change my mind before the season opener. I will guess Brandon Jennings is traded. For who? No way even guessing that, although I gather the Pistons are monitoring the Markieff Morris situation in Phoenix. There is interest there."
