WhatsApp For iPhone 6S Supports 3D Touch! Right To Left Language Support Also Added

WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram announced that they would be rolling out support for 3D Touch, which is a new feature added to the new Apple devices, such as the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

According to a report by Gadgets 360, the new update for WhatsApp on the App Store bumps up the latest 2.12.9 version that would let users use the Peek and Pop features on the new smartphones.

"You can now quickly Peek and Pop pictures, videos, links, contact cards, and locations you send and receive in chats," the App Store listing said.

The Peek and Pop feature has been introduced by Apple during the revealing of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, as an added feature for the 3D Touch.

"Peek and Pop let you preview all kinds of content and even act on it - without having to actually open it," the website revealed. "For example, with a light press you can Peek at each email in your inbox. Then when you want to open one, press a little deeper to Pop into it."

In addition to that, minor bug fixes with viewing media have been added. Also, support for WhatsApp UI has been added like "right-to-left languages for Arabic and others."

Addition of a quick reply option has also rolled out alongside the improvement of the starred messages.

"Now you can tap and hold on any message in a chat to star it, so you can easily find it later," the post added. "Go to contact info or group info to browse starred messages for a given chat. Starred messages also appear in their own section in search results."

Support of the 3D Touch on WhatsApp for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus was announced and rolled out yesterday, as a follow up and update for Facebook and Instagram, among others.
