Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Release Date Confirmed As Motorola And Verizon Calls For A Press Event?

After months of speculating about the release date of Motorola Droid Turbo 2, recent reports seemed to have already confirmed that it is going to be this month.

According to Tech Times, Motorola and Verizon have invited some press people for an event on Oct. 27 in New York City, which is believed to be the venue for the unveiling of one of the highly-talked about smartphones.

"Everything you expect from a phone will change," the press invites reportedly read. "Please join Verizon and Motorola as we unveil the newest Droids."

The tech site revealed that "Before the iPhone 4 ever landed at Verizon, the carrier had struck a deal with Motorola to deliver a smartphone that offered Verizon customers an alternative to the AT&T-only iPhone."

With this, it is no longer a surprise if the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be released in the United States via the said telecommunications giant.

In the meantime, Tech Gadget Central reported that even if the device will be made available exclusively through Verizon, it is still regarded as a must-own since it is expected that "the handset will be made available unlocked and carrier-free under the Moto X Force moniker."

The report added that the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 wallpaper has been leaked and those who want to get a feel of it, even those who don't own a Droid, can actually download it to experience Marshmallow, Android's newest OS update.

Another exciting news relative to the release date of Motorola Droid Turbo 2 was given by Phandroid.

The site discovered that the Droid Maxx 2 (Verizon) is among the listed devices which are optimized for Android screen mirroring, based on the Google's help files for the Chromecast.

With these recent developments, consumers may have become more thrilled to get a glimpse of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 during its anticipated release date.
