Gal Gadot Shares Details That Prove She's A Real-Life Wonder Woman; Actress' Standalone Film Paves Way For More DC Movies

Despite her lithe frame, Gal Gadot is perfect as Wonder Woman after having served in the Israeli Defense Force for a couple of years which prepared her for the physicality of any role she takes on.

In an interview with Marie Claire, the former Miss Israel said that she not only served, but actually applied to become a fight training instructor.

"To become a fight-training instructor in the Israeli Defense Forces, I did a four-month boot camp where I had to go for seven-mile runs every morning at 6:30AM," she said. "It was a good prep for acting, because movies require a lot of discipline and responsibility."

In fact, in the "Fast & Furious" movies, Gal Gadot did a lot of her own stunts, "like jumping from a moving motorcycle onto a Jeep."

"I prefer to portray the stronger, more independent, inspiring woman than the heartbroken, sad one. Because in real life, women do it all," she added in the interview.

In another interview with Fashion mag, Gal Gadot said that playing the Wonder Woman is a dream come true because "she is the ultimate symbol of strength."

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd grow up to be in a movie playing someone who influenced as many women as she has," she gushed.

Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will debut in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," in preparation for a standalone film as well as the "Justice League."

"[Director Zack] Snyder's claim that she'll set up the Justice League does give us some interesting possibilities," said Movie Pilot. "Does this mean that we'll get a taste of that Wonder Woman diplomacy, as she steps in the break up the fight between Batman and Superman? Or will she be just too busy dealing with the other mysterious foe that they have to face, saving the world and uniting the bickering heroes in the process?"
