After announcing his engagement to boyfriend Dustin Lance Black, Tom Daley is now back to training in his quest to become one of Britain's greatest divers.

On Friday, the 21-year-old gold medalist was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida training again on the plank.

"The sun-soaked session saw the athlete showcase his ripped abs and muscular thighs as he plummeted from boards of varying heights to the waters below," said Daily Mail.

"The Splash star looked engulfed in his training, showing off his upper body strength as he lifted himself into a handstand before flipping himself into the pool," it added.

Tom Daley actually Instagrammed his return to Fort Lauderdale for training, as Dustin Lance Black's boyfriend shared a photo of his shoes with the pool on the background. He captioned the image, "A lot of memories in this pool! Great to be back in Fort Lauderdale for a couple of days training!"

Back in August, Tom Daley won bronze at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.

"I'm really happy with that bronze because I did make it as hard as possible for myself," he told BBC.

In the Instagram post, the British diver posted a photo of two engagement rings as well as an advertisement of a newspaper which read, "The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence."

Tom Daley wrote, "HeSaidYES and then #ISaidYES. Thanks for all the lovely messages!"

Tom Daley previously said that meeting boyfriend Dustin Lance Black was "love at first sight."

"I'd never felt the feeling of love, it happened so quickly, I was completely overwhelmed by it to the point I can't get him out of my head all the time," the British told Daily Mail. "I've never had it before where I love someone and they love me just as much."
