‘Tekken 7’ PS4 Release Date May Happen In A Few Months? Fighting Title Stays Strong In Arcades

Despite the game's success at the arcades, release date of "Tekken 7" for the PS4 and other consoles are still being talked about, with some reports pointing out that the game could come out early next year.

Although it is all speculations and rumors for now, Michael Briers of We Got This Covered reported that the game should be expected to come out anytime soon, since they're done working with the fighting title in the arcades.

"With nary a mention of a console release date, our bet would be on Bandai Namco finally locking down a launch window for Tekken 7, possibly slating the title for some point in 2016," Briers speculated.

In a report by the Spanish gaming website Koi-Nya however, it has been revealed that the release date of "Tekken 7" for the PS4 may be compromised, revealing that the studio may be focusing on other arcade releases for other parts of the world for now before heading to the consoles.

"It is true that we are planning various activities around the Tekken license," marketing boss for Namco's Spanish arm David Fraile said. "However, I want to clarify my comments made during MGW: Tekken is one of the largest license Bandai Namco and obviously we are working on bringing content related to license the West. At the moment, we are trying to bring arcade Tekken 7 Madrid, Barcelona and other Spanish cities."

Meanwhile, Event Hub reported that game creator Katsuhiro Harada previously revealed during a panel in this year's Comic Con how he and the rest of the game have a successful release date for the arcades and that they hope to release the console versions for the PS4 and Xbox One in the near future.

"There are two main sides to Tekken 7. The first is to neatly tie up all of the storylines that have developed over the course of 20 years for the Tekken series. Since it's Tekken's 20th anniversary, story will play a big part this time around, which is why we wanted to tie things up and reach a conclusion. So in that sense, we hope to be able to wow and recapture the imagination of players who focus on characters and backstories in the games. This will take quite a bit of time to put together, but we have a couple of things in store."

Although there are no official reports about a "Tekken 7" release date for the PS4 and Xbox One, the fighting game is expected to come out anytime next year.
