Manny Pacquiao Vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez Inbound? Top Rank CEO Bob Arum Doesn't Think So

Now that Amir Khan is out of the equation, it is time for Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank to find him a new opponent.

Many names are thrown in the list and one of the more interesting candidates as Pacquiao's next opponent is Mexican boxer Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

However, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is not a fan of the idea of Manny Pacquiao versus Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. He said that the Mexican is just too big for the Filipino boxer.

"I'm not advocating it. Canelo could weigh 170 [pounds] on fight night. That's just looking for trouble," Arum told LA Times' Lance Pugmire via ABS-CBN news.

Also, Canelo Alvarez is still set to fight Miguel Cotto next month and should he win that fight, he is obliged to fight Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin next year.

"Money is secondary to health. I'm convinced Manny's next fight will be his last. He wants to put on a good show," Arum added.

The Top Rank CEO also said that this will definitely be Pacquiao's last fight as he is planning to run for a senatorial position in his country, the Philippines.

Golden Boy promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya is also putting the name of his fighter, Lucas Matthyse in the conversation and it might just be the right match for the soon retiring boxer.

Who will Manny Pacquiao's next opponent be? Stay tuned.
