While "Once Upon A Time" is currently wondering through the world of Camelot, recent spoilers appear to hint at a darker journey for the second half of Season 5.

On Thursday, TVLine revealed some casting spoilers for "Once Upon A Time." Reportedly, the series is casting a "mysterious, dangerous and vindictive God-like figure known obscurely as 'Distinguished Gentleman' or 'DG." Given this, fans are speculating that the character in question is Hades from Greek mythology.

"I think the thing that would make me the saddest is an evil Hades," commented reddit user Booklover13.

"Not only is it done to death, but the dude is my favorite of all the gods. Heck he is certainly one of the closest to having a 'true love.' Obligatory mention that Disney's 'Hercules,' while enjoyable, does a terrible job representing Greek mythology. Personally, I think sticking closer to source would make more sense given the themes the show has been playing with."

Meanwhile, another familiar face will return to "Once Upon a Time" Season 5.

According to TVGuide, actor David Anders has announced he will be returning as Dr. Whale for one episode during this season. He will be joined by both Meghan Ory (Ruby) and Jamie Chung (Mulan), who are expected to appear in more than one episode. Early spoilers also hint at Mulan getting a romantic interest to increase LGBT diversity on the series.

"We want the show to reflect the world as it is now," said co-creator Adam Horowitz. "It's something we want to do this year, and it's something we think is due and important to do on the show because it's the world we live in."
