Manny Pacquiao Next Fight Could Be Against Terrence Crawford Or Lucas Matthysse

While Manny Pacquiao is still waiting for now retired boxer Floyd Mayweather's response to give him a rematch, Top Rank CEO is looking for other fighters that could go against the Filipino boxer.

Just a week ago, Amir Khan pulled out his name in the negotiation in a possible fight with Pac-Man who is said to be stalling. Now, Bob Arum is moving on and is currently looking for other candidates to fight the boxing superstar.

Two of the favorites right now is American boxer Terrence Crawford and Lucas Matthysse.

"It'd mean a lot," Crawford said of the potential fight with Pacquiao via Boxing Scene. "It'd take my career to the next level."

However, he is not getting his hopes up as Pacquiao might not even consider him at all.

"I don't know. That's something they're going to have to decide. Our teams are going to have to talk to each other and figure it out, if that's the fight they really want," he said.

Crawford still has a fight happening soon and it will be against Dierry Jean this weekend.

Top Rank boxing promoter and CEO Bob Arum, will get the last say after all. For him, a fight between both boxers are ideal and he would like to see it happen too.

"I want to see a good performance from Crawford. He's fighting a good fighter, and Manny is the kind of proud guy who looks for the toughest opponent. So if Crawford gives a great performance, it enhances him as a Manny opponent," he said.

Meanwhile, Arum is also talking with Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya about a possible fight between Pacquiao and Lucas Matthyse.

"There is a guy who manages Manny Pacquiao, and I am already in conversations with this gentleman to make a fight between Pacquiao and Matthysse," said Dela Hoya per Victor Salazar of Tha Boxing Voice.

"It could be a complicated fight, but that's why Lucas is preparing so well. He has some great sparring partners to work with and he'll be ready."
