New York Knicks Star Carmelo Anthony Happy With The Team; Believes Time Is Now

The New York Knicks are off to a great start as they won in convincing fashion against the Milwaukee Bucks, 122-97.

Franchise star Carmelo Anthony had a good showing by scoring 11 points, grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. His new teammate Derrick Williams had a great game by scoring 24 points off the bench.

With that said, Anthony sees the bright future ahead and this made him believe that their time is now.

"It comes a point in time when you have to believe in something," Anthony said via Yahoo Sports.

Last year, Anthony was clobbered by injury which forced him to sit down for half of the season. This time around, it's a different story says the superstar.

"Any time you're kind of dealing with the knee, you start second-guessing things. Am I going to come back the same way? Am I going to have my bounce again? Am I going to be the same player? Will I be able to move like this? Will I still have my first step or my second jump? I started thinking that," Anthony said.

"The more time you're sitting around, you can't move, you can't do nothing, a lot of things go through your mind dealing with something like that."

With Phil Jackson now in the helm, and new additions turning out to be excellent pieces, Anthony is positive that together, they will be able to beat the odds.

"I believe in this team," Anthony said. "I believe in the guys on this team. I know what they can do. I know the work that they put in. I know how hungry they are to get that tag off of them and bring New York back to where it should be. We know it's a process."
