Psy Back at Number One, ‘Ready for a Long Run’

Psy has climbed back to the number one spot in all K-Pop charts after briefly giving up the lead to Jo Yong Pil's "Bounce" for several hours upon its release.

Since the release of "Gentleman" on April 12, Psy has reigned over all major K-Pop charts such as Melon, M-Net, Bugs, etc.

Currently, "Gentleman" is ranked number one on iTunes in 42 countries including Russia, Brazil, Sweden, Peru, Guatemala, Hong Kong, El Salvador and Paraguay. The viral music video has already exceeded 100 million hits on YouTube.

It comes as a surprise to no one that Psy's "Gentleman" looks in shape to stay at the top of the charts for quite some time. To give credit where credit is due, the song caught the heart of the music trend and catered to what the public wants to hear. So we tip our hats to Psy. Furthermore, adding the lack of quality music from idol stars in today's market to the formula, what we get is Psy's long run on the throne.

We will see how far "Gentleman" will go. At this point, no one knows. Not even Psy.
