U.S. Rolling Stone stated that Psy's new song, "Gentleman" was "exotic, sexy and clever."

Reporter Anthony DeCurtis held an interview with USA Today and stated, "The moment you turn on that play button, you get sucked into 3-4 minutes of humor. This song is exotic, sexy and clever. It is rare to see all of these three things come together."

He continued, "Interest in the Korea culture is gaining much attention. Psy's two songs have become quite successful. If people didn't know who he was and we took out the lyrics and played it a club, probably everyone would dance along to it," revealing his praise for Psy's music.

USA Today stated, "This entertainer is not ready to put a stop to his popularity yet."

Psy's "Gentleman" is currently at 155 million views on YouTube.

Psy released his song on April 12 and received an overwhelming response from all over the world.

On April 13, he held his 'Happening' concert in Seoul and performed "Gentleman" for the first time. The show was also streamed live globally for his international fans as well.

He then released his "Gentleman" MV and received much attention online. In just 3 days he surpassed the 100 million mark, making fans curious to see if he would break another record and hit 1 billion views.

Psy's song is currently number 1 on iTunes in 37 countries, showing his global popularity. He is also ranked in the top 10 in 78 countries.

He is also ranked at number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Main chart as well.

YG Entertainment also plans to release a acapella and instrumental version of the song as well. They predict that after the instrumental version is released that more parodies will be seen online.
