Psy has decided that he will be donating a half-million dollars from his profits earned from the digital sales of "Gentleman."

The large sum of donation, by all means a generous amount even for a world star, is an expression of his appreciation for the support and love from his fans. "The amount of love I have been shown has been overwhelming. It goes without saying that I will continue to make great, fun music to give back to my fans. Going beyond that, I hope to be at the forefront of generous donations to be a little bit of help to those who are sick and in need," Psy stated.

The entire amount will be used for children fighting against cancer. According to Psy's associate, he has been considering a number of options to respond to all the support he has received and came across some of the donations made by celebrities in recent weeks which led him to follow in similar footsteps.

As Psy departs for the United States for his promotional tour, he plans to continue making contributions to those in need.
