Psy Breaks Into The Billboard Hot 100 Top 10

In his second week on the Billboard Hot 100, Psy breaks into the top ten.

On April 24, Billboard announced the newest Hot 100 rankings and Psy's "Gentleman" is at number 5. The song rose from its previous position of 12th in large part due to the inclusion of video streaming data in ranking system.

"Gentleman" currently has over 220 million YouTube views and has broken two records since its release, 'most views in the first 24 hours' and 'most views in a single day.'

"Gentleman" blasted to number 5 due to a 60% increase in streaming views during its first full week. The Psy single leads the Streaming chart for the second week in a row having received 13.9 million view in the United States. When last week's chart was calculated just two days after the video's release, it had registered 8.6 million US views. The Billboard chart only takes domestic views into account for ranking purposes.

The "Gangnam Style" follow-up also debuted on the Digital chart this week at number 20. Downloads sold are around 72,000 which is a 167% increase over last week when the digital version of the song had only been available for three days.

Pink's "Just Give Me a Reason" is in the number 1 spot for the second week in a row, but with Psy beginning US promotions this week, he is expecting a significant increase in radio play for the song, which may help propel him into the coveted Billboard Hot 100 number 1 spot.
