EXO-AM? Suho And Jo Kwon Team Up For New SM-JYP Cross-Agency Track

SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment may be two rival K-pop agencies, but their stars are all too happy to work together.

On Friday, it was revealed that EXO leader Suho recently completed filming in a music video for a new track by 2AM's Jo Kwon. Jo, the leader of 2AM and the sole member of the group currently represented by JYP Entertainment, will release a new solo album in February.

This is the second time the two K-pop powerhouse record labels have collaborated this year.

The previous joint effort, the single "Dream" featuring miss A's Suzy and EXO's Baekhyun, shot to the top of Korean music charts upon its release.

SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment have a history of collaborating, but the trend has died down in recent years. In 2010, a promotional single "Cabi Song," featured members of both Girls' Generation and 2PM, representative acts of SM and JYP receptively.

This will be Jo Kwon's first solo release since his June 2012 album, "I'm Da One."

Since "I'm Da One," Jo has focused on his career as a member of 2AM and a variety show star, as well as a musical actor.

In 2015, Jo became the sole member of 2AM to renew his contract with JYP Entertainment. The company announced last year that the group had not disbanded despite being represented by different agencies.

Suho, who debuted as a member of EXO in 2012, previously showed off his acting chops in TVXQ's 2008 music video "HaHaHa" and all of EXO's music videos to date. He appeared in 2014's drama "Prime Minister And I," and will appear in this year's "Glory Day" in a lead role.

This is the first time a member of 2AM is collaborating with a member of EXO.

Jo Kwon's comeback is expected to be held in early February.
