Wardrobe Inspection: K-Pop's Best Dressed January 2016

It looks like we can expect quite the number of comebacks and debuts in 2016. It’s only January and anticipated groups such as Cross Gene, Teen Top and GFriend are already bringing in the year with a bang.

Let’s check out the trends of January:

"Someone Like U" by Dal Shabet

Dal Shabet had a look for every occasion in their latest music video for “Someone Like U.” From lounging at home in T-shirts and shorts to crashing a party in ballroom attire. For the main choreography scenes, the ladies were strapped in black matte spandex pants with black halters layered under abstract patterned jackets. DalShabet threw in a classic touch donning themselves in denim jeans, white t-shirts, and navy blazers for their final dance scene.

“I Am You, You Are Me” by Zico

Zico displayed the epitome of couple fashion in his music video for “I Am You, You Are Me.” Zico teamed up with South Korean figure skater Lee Ho Jung, to show off complete couple style right down to the accessories. Many of the styles included graphic sweaters with one being reminiscent of a Halloween themed hundreds board.

"Dream" by Baekhyun (EXO) & Suzy (miss A)

This duet melted our hearts this winter with the warm-hearted collaboration for “Dream.” Both Suzy and Baekhyun went for '40s fashion with a modern day twist. Not to mentions, Baekhyun’s lock and Suzy’s blouse complimented one another quite nicely.

"Warning Sign" by Teen Top

The classic black and white yet again is proven to be a timeless look. Teen Top not only applied the black and white filter for the video itself, but to their attire as well. The boys donned themselves in chic three-piece charcoal suits for a majority of the music video while other times were cladded in striking patterns and glitz.

"Noona, U" by Cross Gene

Cross Gene really crossed the fashion barrier with some of their jacket patterned featured in the “Noon, U” music video. From multi-colored fur to moccasin shredded shoulder pads the boys had quite the look.

"Rough" by GFriend

Continuing their schoolgirl concept, the young ladies of GFriend featured quite the number of uniform in their “Rough” music video. This included one-piece navy uniforms, the classic red plaid skirt with long-sleeved white tops, and green plaid with white blouses and a variety of coats and cardigans. The looks helped keep with a calm and refreshingly innocent image.

"The Little Prince" by Ryeowook (Super Junior)

Despite the warming nature of the music video, “The Little Prince” featured many accents of bold reds including Ryeowook’s cotton trench coat. In fact, nearly every look of Ryeowook’s included a winter coat of various fabrics and patterns; the exception being his gray knit cardigan.

"Sting" by Stellar

The ladies of Stellar returned with a “Sting” for their January comeback; however the concept was particularly soft. Stellar’s look featured an array of lounge wear including cotton shorts and loose fitting sweaters. The ladies switched it up toward the end for a fashion runway style montage with blazers, denim, and plenty of accessorizing.

“Cider” by Yezi

Yezi’s popularity skyrocket after showing off her fierce and honest raps on season two of ‘Unpretty Rapstar.’ Yezi kept that streak going this January with the release of her solo EP ‘Foresight Dream’ and with it came the music video for her title track “Cider.” The fearless rapper was featured in her signature black bandeau's and white tank tops showing her midriff and sleek black shorts. Yezi also went for a chic long sleeved black one-piece. The rapper finished her looks with a tall pair of boot pumps.

We can only foresee more fashion to come with February comebacks from 4Minute, WINNER, Rainbow and many more!
