Singer Roy Kim said, "I love myself. That's what's most important."

Roy Kim recently held a rock star photo shoot with the fashion magazine 1st Look that was released today.

During the interview, Roy Kim said, "I realized that if I love myself, I naturally follow what is good for me. Then I know what I love doing, and what I should be doing. If I just simply followed what I liked, then I wouldn't be here. And in the same way if I did just what I had to do, I would really not have been here. I had to form myself in between what I love doing and what I should do. All I did was love myself, which in turn helped me take care of myself, and how I could receive love from others."

When he was asked what kind of person he wants to be to the world, he said, "I want to leave traces of my living. Even if it's something small, I want to be someone who gives good influence to the society. The life I'm living is a thankful life, and I know that to some, it's a life they will never be able to have even if they wanted to. So before anything, I want to live a thankful life. When will I ever be able to live like this?"

About his new song "Bom Bom Bom," Roy Kim said, "The song sounds country so I was scared that people would find it unfamiliar and strange. So I tried to make the melody smoother and easier to follow along."
