The 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards brought many stars together on the eve of December 5. But out of all the epic performances and jaw-dropping, endearing moments, here are some of the best happenings of the night.

THE RED CARPET FASHION

Sure, the red carpet portion of the show may have been a bit too extensive in terms of airtime and viewers may have dozed off a bit during that time but still, it is kind of interesting who would be arriving at MAMA 2016 and what sort of fashion trend they would be starting. Also, Park Bo Gum is fashion goals!

TAP DANCING KID

Isn't Lee Tae Kyoung's dancing the cutest ever? If you think otherwise then you definitely don't have a heart. Plus it's also an adorable way to start the show.

SEVENTEEN & GFRIEND'S EPIC COLLABORATION

Oh to be young and in love! SEVENTEEN and GFRIEND definitely brought back that high school feels when they took over the MAMA stage. During their performance you would see the two idol groups flirt with each other all the while singing an epic mash-up of their popular hits.

GFRIEND'S MINOR STUMBLE

If you think SEVENTEEN & GFRIEND's performance was cute enough, GFRIEND member Yerin definitely made it even cuter when she made an obvious stumble upon the end of their girl group's "Adore You" portion.

TAEMIN'S TREAT

SHINee may not be in the show but Taemin definitely made jaws drop when he proudly flaunted his flawless chest while performing his songs "Guess Who," "Soldier" and "Goodbye." He certainly has a way of making it up to the fans.

NCT 127'S SPEECH

NCT 127's speech after winning "Best New Artist" was filled with colorful emotions from member Taeyong who can't help but cry at their group's achievement. However, his fellow members looked rather hilariously indifferent.

BAEKHYUN & SUZY'S DREAM-LIKE PERFORMANCE

Everyone who watched MAMA 2016 would agree that Baekhyun and Suzy's performance of their hit single "Dream" was like something taken out of a dream. With soothing voices, the two idols sent the entire arena into a trance, except for a couple of Baekhyun's fellow EXO members Chanyeol, Xiumin and Chen who hilariously danced to Baekhyun and the MissA member's song.

MAMA 2016 FUNNY MISHAPS

Funny as it may be but it is actually sad that most of these mishaps were directed mostly to JYP artists. DAY6 was wrongly marked on the screen as DAY8 twice and according to Allkpop, GOT7 was captioned as MONSTA X during their performance of "Hard Carry." Lastly, Jackson was listed as "Jacson." C'mon MAMA 2016!

DEAN'S CUTE LITTLE HAT

Dean thought it good to bring out his trusty ol' hat during his performance with Crush and while the hat itself may be cringe inducing, the very act of wearing it seems like a rebellious statement from the singer or it could be that he just didn't like his curly hairstyle and wanted to cover it as much as possible.

WIZ KHALIFA PERFORMING SEE YOU AGAIN

Wiz Khalifa didn't look out of place at the k-pop event when he took to the stage and performed his popular songs "Young, Wild and Free" and "See You Again." In fact, the crowd joined him loudly during the latter song which isn't actually surprising knowing that "See You Again" is one of the most well-known songs of the year.

However, it is also sad that he wasn't able to perform with Taeyeong but his solo performance was in itself already a treat.

AILEE'S PROUD MAMA MOMENT

When SEVENTEEN won the "World Performer Award", Ailee couldn't help but jump in glee then giving each of the members a warm high five as they took to the stage.

THAT BIRTHDAY GUY DURING I.O.I'S PERFORMANCE

If you watched I.O.I's performance of "Very, Very, Very" then you'd definitely notice the happy black guy in the audience wearing a birthday hat and seemingly unabashed as he happily danced to the girl's song.

BTS FIERY SET

There is without a doubt that BTS was one of the best performers of the night. Performing "Bad Meets Evil Part 1 & 2", "Blood, Sweat and Tears" and "Fire", the Bangtan Boys definitely didn't spare everyone from the wonderful drama and theatrics of their epic performance which ended in a fiery explosion brought upon the wonderful boys of BTS.

BTS JIN & V BRINGING OUT THE FAN GIRLS IN EVERYONE

Probably the most "WTF" moment of the night happened during BTS's performance. Just after the group's "Blood, Sweat & Tears" set and before "Fire", V suddenly appeared on stage and approached a kneeling Jin.

Much to the audience's delight, V quickly exposes his bare back revealing a pair of scars where his 'wings' should've been. V would then cover Jin's eyes just like what he did in the music video and would clutch onto Jin's chest making several jaws drop and the audience along with the viewers at home going into total fan girl frenzy.

EXO'S PERFORMANCE OF TRANSFORMER & MONSTER

The boys of EXO were the last to perform but they're definitely not the least. Their performance of "Transformer" and "Monster" proved just why they're one of Korea's biggest k-pop acts as they made the MAMA stage their own and gave the audiences a glimpse of what it's like to be in an EXO concert, Billboard reports.

TWICE WINS SONG OF THE YEAR

Probably one of the most emotional moments of the night was when TWICE won "Song of the Year" for their hit song "Cheer Up." Clearly not anticipating their win TWICE walked to the stage breaking down into joyful tears as they gave their speech.

BTS WINS ARTIST OF THE YEAR

BTS had been in the scene for a few years now but 2016 is definitely their breakout year and all of them truly deserve to be called "Artist of the Year."

EXO WINS ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Having already won two awards that night, of course the boys of EXO would top it off with a daesang!
