Shinhwa Comeback D-1, 'First Time We Love All Our Songs'

'We are Shinhwa!' goes the introduction of the 15-year veteran group Shinhwa who will be making a comeback with their 11th album The Classic on May 16.

The Classic, named after Shinhwa's hope to be viewed a classic K-pop group, will feature ten tracks. The album is reportedly the first to be completely satisfactory for all members of Shinhwa. Because they loved all of the songs, they ended up bringing in staff members to vote for the title song. Eventually, "This Love" won out.

The members of Shinhwa debuted in high school, went through the trying period in their twenties when everything seems questionable and uncertain, and are now in their thirties. Finally, they can approach family, love and work with a sense of comfort. And to one another, they have become family.

"My dad sent me a picture of a bouquet on Parents' Day, saying it was from Jun Jin. Jun Jin sent one to every member's parents. We pick up after one another in times of need. It goes without saying that we are family," said Eric.

About the fierce competition in K-pop in the month of May, Shinhwa replied, "We are not so into competing against other artists anymore. If they do well, we cheer them on. We feel that the success of other artists is an overall positive thing for the industry. Especially, Jo Yong Pil has made a tremendous impact not only on music charts but on our future plans. We hope to become a legend like him."
