Stars Who Will Be Enlisting In The Military This Year

According to Korean Policy every abled-men has to serve in their military for two years and same goes for the stars. Here is the list of few K-Pop stars who are enlisted to join military this year.


BIGBANG's T.O.P will be joining his two years mandatory military service on February 9, 2017. As reported in yibada, on November 14, the National Police Agency (NPA) released their list of acceptances for the Seoul District Police conscripted policemen in which T.O.P was accepted as a special forces conscripted policemen.


JYJ's Junsu is gearing up to join his military services from February 9, 2017. A source stated on November 21, "Kim Junsu has been accepted into the 348th class of conscripted policemen, and has received his official start date. He will be starting on February 9, although the location has not been confirmed."

Kim Hyung Jun

Double S 301's Kim Hyung Jun will also be joining his duty this year. He shared his views about joining the service last year during the promotions on December 8 and said, "After this promotion with Double S 301, I will go to complete my duties in the military. I was born in 1987 so it′s now time for me to go. I have a bright personality, so I plan to enjoy my time" as reported in mwave.

Seo In Guk

Seo In Guk shared about his plans for enlistment to Star News last year and said, "Of course, I'll have to enlist in the military. The date is not out yet but I'm planning to enlist right away when I get conscripted."

Ji Chang Wook

Ji Chang Wook who is 29 now has to join his military service as per the rules in Korea, men are required to serve in the military before the age of 31. He gave a statement in November last year saying, "I'm looking to enlist sometime next year. I think it'll be a different life but fun. I'm curious, worried, and also excited about how I'll survive among the dongsaengs in their 20's."

Joo Won

Joo Won recently revealed about his enlistment in the military. He is planning to join the service at the end of this year so he still has lots of time to work which he intends to do.


2PM's Taecyeon will also join the military this year. He gave a hint when he came to 99th episode of JTBC's 'Please Take care of my Refrigerator'. Due to his poor vision and a dislocated shoulder back, the local government determined Taecyeon only fit to be a public service personnel. Despite that, Taecyeon is still determined to enlist himself as an active duty soldier.


Super Junior's Kyuhyun shared his military enlistment plans on 'Entertainment Relay' last year. He told he has at least a year left with him and he plans to join in 2017.

Yoo Ah In

Yoo Ah In who is 30 years old, his military enlistment has been put on hold after his third medical checkup at the Military Manpower Administration (MMA).
