Despite its popularity, "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" won't be extended any longer. But, fans are in for some treat as top actress Kim Hye Soo confirmed to have a cameo appearance on its final episode.

On January 11, Dramabeans confirmed that the "Signal" actress will appear on the 20^th episode of "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim". Although the details of Kim Hye Soo's cameo role wasn't revealed yet, it was confirmed by the SBS producers that she will also appear on the special episode of the well-loved medical drama.

IB Times also noted that Kim Hye Soo agreed to have a cameo appearance on the medical drama as her way of showing support to the Daesang awardee Han Suk Kyu. The two previously worked for "Dr. Bong" way back in 1995 and on "Villain and Widow" in 2010 and viewers can't wait to know whether Hye Soo's cameo role will have a special interaction with Teacher Kim as the two have great chemistry in their previous films together.

"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" kept on having increasing ratings as it nears its finale. Its 19^th episode surpassed the 30 percent viewership mark with a whopping 30.1 percent according to the data presented by AGB Nielsen. With this record, it became the most viewed medical drama of 2016 and even in the early part of 2017.

Because of its impressive success not only in its ratings but also in the recently concluded 2016 SBS Drama Awards where it garnered 8 awards including Han Suk Kyu's Daesang, SBS granted the show to also have a special episode. The said episode will show some behind-the-scenes and interviews according to some insiders.

Can't wait for the final episode of "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim"? Aside from having Kim Hye Soo on it, the producers of the show also shared that the final episode will be a prequel of Doldam Hospital.
