Filipino fans must be beyond excited about this news. The cast and crew of hit medical drama "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" will finally fly to the tropical shores of Cebu, Philippines on January 20.

From the report released by Soompi, it was revealed that the cast and crew of "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" will be in the Philippines from January 20 to January 24 as part of their victory vacation for the aforementioned medical drama. SBS rewarded them with this vacation after gaining increasing ratings and after leading the Monday-Tuesday evening timeslot ever since it started airing.

This news caused several excitement especially among Filipino fans of the show apparent on the social media. Local media outlets also took note of this news. However, some fans were also disappointed that not all of the show's cast will be travelling to Cebu.

Manila Bulletin, one of the leading newspapers in the Philippines, also noted that two of the show's lead actors won't be able to come for the victory vacation in Cebu. Han Suk Kyu or Teacher Kim in the drama, and Seo Hyun Jin or Doctor Seo Jung won't be able to attend the said vacation due to their personal schedules. Despite this news, Yoo Yeon Seok who played the role of Doctor Dong Joo and the rest of the cast and crew of the medical drama will join the vacation.

"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" just aired its final episode last January 16 which gained a whopping 26.7 percent on viewership ratings. AGB Nielsen also stated that the prequel episode which aired on January 17 gained 26 percent which both topped the ratings in the Monday-Tuesday timeslot.

Several avid viewers and even celebrity fans like Park Shin Hye, who also appeared in another medical drama, praised the show for its exemplary plot. "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" revolves around Teacher Kim Sa Bu/Boo Yong Joo who is a top surgeon that was exiled due to a surgical scandal in the top Geosan Hospital. In reviving his career in the secluded Doldam Hospital, he meets his proteges like Doctors Dong Joo and Seo Jung.
