It's been almost four years since they started dating but the sad news is that singers IU and Jang Kiha have officially broken up. They have not stated the reason for their separation but did assure that they remain good friends.

The couple met in 2013 in a radio show that was being hosted by Jang Kiha. IU was there as a guest, and it seems that they have clicked because they soon started dating after. Despite the fact that they had an 11-year age gap, Chang has stated in the past that they did not feel that gap. They see their age difference as a way to learn from each other, and there are times when they think on the same wavelength and do not feel the age difference at all.

But their relationship did not get confirmed until two years after they started dating when tabloid newspaper Dispatch revealed their relationship. IU, confirming the relationship, apologized to her fans if they were surprised with the news, but was also firm in her love for her they boyfriend. She admits to having fallen for him as soon as she saw him and though they have their disagreements as a couple, she and Kiha are grateful for each other.

Even though the couple seemed to be going strong, sadly they did not last. Soompi reports that both the singers' agencies confirmed the breakup. Both agencies, Dooroodooroo for Kiha and Loen Entertainment for IU, provided the exact same statement to reveal the truth, as reported by Koreaboo. In the statement, they said that the breakup was recent, but the former couple has decided to remain "good senior-junior to each other."

IU is known for starring in the lead role of the TV series "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo." In her role as Go Ha-jin/Hae Soo, she won the best couple award along with actor Lee Joon-gi.
