Recent Updates have revealed that MBC has announced a new Wednesday-Thursday drama "Hospital Ship" for its midsummer lineup. Fans have been waiting for the network to make this announcement on the next movie on the lineup.

Meanwhile, it is that the much awaited moment is here as the network has recently announced that "Hospital Ship," a medical drama is next in line. However, it has also been reported that the network has offered the lead female role in the new drama to Ha Ji-won who also starred in The "Time I've Loved You."

According to Drama Beans, "Hospital Ship" is pertaining a vessel, which sails around the islands in order to provide the needed services to their rural villages. It is also reported that "Hospital Ship" is a human medical drama that centers on telling the growth stories of upcoming doctors in a way that tally with the lifestyle of contemporary times.

According to Asianwiki, Ha Ji-Won will portray the role of a surgeon named Song Eun-Jae and will be among the doctors who go around visiting island residents on a hospital ship. According to the reports, Ha Ji-Won's character, Song Eun-Jae is a surgeon who decided to join the hospital ship team of professional in order to gain a fresh beginning.

The storyline of "Hospital Ship,"  also reveals that Song Eun-Jae decided to join the team to escape the public stigma that hits her when her family was destroyed. It is reported that "Hospital Ship" may have something in common with SBS' last year drama titled "Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim."

Furthermore, "Hospital Ship"  will be directed by popular PD Park Jae-bum who also spearheaded last year's daily drama "Begin Again," the legal drama "A New Leaf," weekend drama titled "Scandal," and melodrama series titled "I Miss You."

Although Yoon Seon-joo is most familiar with working in the realm of sageuk, it is believed that some of them are quite interesting like "The Immortal Lee Soon-shin,"  "Hwang Jin-yi" starring Ha Ji-won, "Secret Door," and "Great King Sejong." "Hospital Ship" is expected to premiere in July premiere, which will be after Yoo Seung-ho's new sageuk titled "Ruler-Master of the Mask."
