T.O.P's Philanthropy, A Look at the Charity Work of T.O.P

In light of all the negativity surrounding BIGBANG's T.O.P because of the drug scandal, have a dose of positivity by taking a look at T.O.Ps' charity work.

On June 6, T.O.P was admitted to the hospital from overdosing on medication used to treat anxiety. There were many speculations and rumors surrounding the incident, leaving many confused about what was the truth.

On June 8, there was finally good news about T.O.P's condition. He had regained consciousness and recognized his mother. Prior to the incident, T.O.P was investigated for marijuana usage that took place back in October 2016.

Many netizens criticized him as harshly as they would someone who committed crimes as severe as murder and assumed that he is a terrible person. Regardless of whether cannabis is legal in a location, the use of it does not equal to being a bad person.

T.O.P not only collected art pieces, but he also used his passion to contribute good to the society. In October 2016, presented over 25 pieces of his art collection labeled #TTTOP for sale. A portion of the profit went to donations toward struggling artists."I hope young Asian artists, who are in a difficult situation, will work in a more stable environment," T.O.P said through his agency. "I will continue to push for such a charity project."

T.O.P's charitable nature, proves that he is not a cold-hearted criminal for drug use, as suggested by some netizens. As the doctors indicate, write now it is most important that T.O.P gets the mental health treatment he needs.
