After completing his mandatory military service for 21 months, actor Ji Chang Wook is finally discharged on April 27. He entered the boot camp in Cheolwon, Gangwon Province in August 2017 as the assistant trainer at the3rd division to the 5th Artillery Brigade.

It is also reported that according to his agency also revealed that Ji Chang Wook has set a good example during his military training. He also won the top award and achieved high score for his good performance. 

His fans both locally and internationally gathered at his base on the day of his discharged with signage expressing their support and happiness for the comeback of their actor. Ji Chang Wook gave his fans a wide smile and even spoke briefly to the press.

When asked about his thoughts on his discharged, the actor said, "It still hasn't hit me, so I don't quite feel like I've been discharged yet. I think it may finally sink in tomorrow or so."  He also expressed his gratitude to his co-stars from the military musical production "Shihueng Military Academy."

"Through our musical, I ended up performing with Kang Ha Neul for the first time in almost 10 years," he said. "I also became close with [INFINITE's] Sunggyu while performing in the musical, as well as with [SHINee's] Onew, actor Kim Min Ho, and musical actor Go Eun Sung. They were all a huge help to me. To be honest, it was because of those friends that I was able to spend my military life meaningfully and comfortably. I was really grateful to all of them."  

Ji Chang Wook has already received a lot of multiple casting offers for his projects after being discharged in the military. He even told his fans "I feel nervous greeting you for the first time in in a long while. I've finally been discharged, and I will greet you again with good things and even better projects in the future. Please look forward to it a lot. Thank you." 

The South Korean actor of popular drama series Smile Again, Warrior Baek Dong-soo, Bachelor's Vegetable Store, Empress Ki and Healer has also been appointed as a Platoon Leader and got promoted to a Corporal as well.

All of his fans are very happy that he is back and all are also waiting for his first ever comeback project after his military training. We are so excited to see what is going to be in store for him after 5 weeks of not being in the limelight.
