Yoon Seobin's Ignominous Past

Male trainee of Mnet's idol survival series 'Produce X 101', Yoon Seobin, has been officially removed from the show and from JYP Entertainment. It was announced by the management of JYP Entertainment on May 8.

Yeon Seobin has been wrapped up in a very bad image of his past that includes his bullying, drinking at a very young age and underage smoking rumors.

It is also said that his real name is Yoon Byung Hwi and the reason why he changed his name is to hide from his ugly past. JYP Entertainment released a statement regarding the said issue.

"Hello. This is JYP Entertainment. We would like to relay our position about trainee Yoon Seobin. JYP Entertainment has decided to terminate our trainee contract with Yoon Seobin, who was appearing on Mnet's Produce X 101 as we believe he did not behave in line with company policy. As a result, we are also announcing he will leave the program. "

Yoon Seobin apologized to his fans and to everybody who suffered because of the said issue.

"I apologize. It is that I partied in high school and am reflecting a lot about my past actions. I apologize to JYP Entertainment and the staff and production team of Produce X 101 that suffered because of this. I changed my name because it was hard to pronounce. Also, my parents went to a Korean fortune teller who told them that the name was bad luck. I was signed as a trainee at a different agency during my second year of high school, but I quit because it got difficult to travel from Gwangju to Seoul. I sincerely apologize. It's wrong of me to have caused this situation, no matter the circumstances.

I apologize for creating such a controversy even when I'm only a trainee. I'm in back in my hometown now, and I can't get myself to go on the internet or meet up with anyone. I'm thinking about what I can do now since I know the public will not see me in a good light no matter what. I can't get myself to do anything. Once again, I apologize to everyone."

Mnet also confirmed that they will edit him out on the program of "Produce X 101" to the best of their ability on future episodes that have already been recorded.
