Now we finally have the identity of fake Psy who made an appearance at Cannes Film Festival and pretended to be the global star himself.

He is a Korean-born French man, Denis Carre, who was adopted by his parents from France.

During an interview with SBS News, Denis Carre explained some of the erroneous reports made about him. "Unlike some of the false reports, I am Korean, not Chinese. I was born in Seoul and was adopted to my parents from France when I was 3 years old," he told.

As for how he initially got the idea to dress like Psy, he responded, "I went clubbing last year and heard a lot of comments that I look like Psy. He changed my life."

A musician, Denis Carre is already famous as a Psy look-alike in France, having appeared on numerous TV shows.

"I can't speak Korean and I have yet to visit Korea. But thanks to Psy, people here have such an improved image of Korea. I would like to meet him some day," he added.
