Chungha, the former member of the idol group I.O.I and Taeyeon, leader, and member of Girls' Generation, once again proved that they were indeed one of the most potent solo artists in the Kpop Industry after taking several awards during the recent Gaon Chart Music Awards held on the 8th of January.

Following the recent awards they received which is the "Artist of the Year," and lining up together with EXO, BTS, and Mamamoo last year for Melon Music Awards, they have gathered awards as well during the 2019 MNET Asian Music Awards, and Chungha got the "Best Dance Performance Solo" and "Best Female Artist" Awards while Taeyeon was awarded as "Best Vocal Performance Solo."

In addition to this, During the 9th European K-pop/J-pop Music awards 2020, last year, Chungha caught the international market and international fan's heart, leading her to become the K-pop solo artist to brought the "European Choice Award."

Meanwhile, for the Album of the Year (Solo Artist Category) and Artist of the Year (Solo Artist Category), Kim Taeyeon received the two awards at once, making her together with Chungha become the soloists to receive the most number of awards for 2019. 

At the start of the New Year, Chungha and Taeyeon won't take a rest on receiving recognitions, as they bring home the bacon for "Digital Song Division Bonsang" during the 34th Golden Disc Awards 2020. 

And now, for the 9th Gaon Chart Music Awards held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul, Chungha won the "Hot Performance of the Year" and "Music Production of the Year." 

Upon receiving the awards, Chunga said during her speech that,

"I'm really grateful to my choreographer, who helped me out through my performances. I'd also like to thank the dancers who are always on stage with me, and share these awards to them." She received her agency's award as well, which is the "Music Record of the Year." 

She expressed that the award was more special than her individual awards, for it is the proof of the staffs and their crews' efforts and hard work. 

On the other hand, Taeyeon won "Artist of the Year" (Digital-March 2019) for her track, "Four Seasons." During the event, Taeyeon's visual stun lots of netizens as well as fans as she gave her thank you speech. 

The Girls' Generation member is currently preparing for her upcoming 2nd Repackage Album with a cover title, "Purpose," which is set to be released this month as well. 

On this day, teaser photos were released from the Girls' Generation's official social media account, featuring her strong and sexy aura. Recently, her concert "The Unseen" was also announced together with its official merchandise. 

These two influential solo acts are have been dominating the world with their music, and it's only the start. Chungha is preparing for her future activities this year, while Taeyeon is set to break her records this upcoming 15th of January, for the release of her "Purpose".
