Former K-Pop Girl Group Member Performs on “The King of Mask Singer”: 1st Time Since Her Marriage
A former K-Pop girl group member is revealed as the identity behind Pinwheel on the show, "The King of Mask Singer" aired on MBC. She surprised everyone as this is her first time to perform on stage after tying the knot.
"The King of Mask Singer" episode aired on March 1, was closely looked after by the audience as the mystery contestants were aiming to bring home the crown. The former K-Pop girl group member, Pinwheel, sang "Can You Hear Me" an OST performed by Taeyeon of Girl's Generation. It is revealed in her performance how emotionally she was while singing the lyrics. The contender did a Sam Kim OST "Who Are You" from the sensational K-Drama series "Goblin".
Unveiling her mask
Unfortunately, the other contestant, Chow Yun-Fat advanced to the proceeding round while Pinwheel has to remove her mask. And to everyone's amazement, she is no other than, former K-Pop girl group member, Soyul from disbanded K-Pop girl group Crayon Pop. She is currently a wife to another former K-Pop idol, H.O.T. Moon Hee Jun.
Given the opportunity to speak again in front of the mob, Soyul said that it is the very first time since her marriage, about four years ago, that she performed. She admitted that she felt shivering yet happy to do what she used to do on stage.
The couple has a daughter whom they call Jam Jam and noted that the little girl has inherited the same singing prowess her parents have. She said that Jam Jam loves to dance and admires to get the attention of others. She even revealed that their child will have their back if she would possibly choose to follow their footsteps.
Crayon Pop Girl Group
Crayon Pop girl group debut in 2012 under Chrome Entertainment. Geummi, Ellin, Choa, Way and, Soyul completed the group. Their album's single "Bar Bar" was released in 2013. Soyul's girl group wore uniquely accustomed stage outfits that massively attracted the attention of their audience. It even reached the top spot on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100.
Marrying H.O.T. Moon Hee Jun
Crayon Pop Soyul got married to another K-Pop idol, H.O.T. Moon Hee Jun in 2017. Moon Hee Jun belongs to the first generation idols. The event was attended by family and friend from the K-Pop world.
While saying goodbye on stage at "The King of Mask Singer", the former K-Pop girl group member expressed her desire to come back singing and if she will have the chance, she would definitely love to grab the opportunity.
