Due to rivalry and busy schedules, it comes as a surprise to fans that their idols are actually friends with other idols or have been close with their members for a very long time. Below is the list of K-pop idols who are prime examples that despite their respective popularity and success, it will always be good to have someone you can lean on.

1. Mamamoo's Wheein and Hwasa

These two best friends have been with each other through thick and thin! Wheein and Hwasa have been close friends since their junior high school days. They actually used to cut classes together to apply for auditions for idol trainees. Their bond is unbreakable since the day they left for Seoul and asked for their current company together. 

2. '92 liners

As the title suggested, this group of friends were all born in the same year. The members include BTS' Jin, EXID's Hani, Mamamoo's Moonbyul, B1A4's Baro and Sandeul, and VIXX's Ken. Although they don't frequently meetup due to their busy schedules, they still have a group chat where they often talk to each other.

3. Super Junior's Heechul and girl group members

Although Heechul is now taken, we still can't forget his other girlfriends! The idol is known to be friends with girl group idols like GFRIEND's Yerin, AOA Seolhyun, SNSD's Taeyeon, EXID's Hani, Red Velvet's Yeri, and BoA. 

4. Got7's Bambam and Blackpink's Lisa

Unlike the other BFFs in this list, Bambam and Lisa are childhood friends! Before they became famous and before they were even in Korea, the two already knew each other since they belonged in the same Thailand-based dance group. Throughout their childhood, their trainee years, debuts, and fame, the two are still close. Their 13 years of friendship can withstand everything!

5. '97 liners

Another same-aged group! The '97 liners consist of GOT7's Bambam and Yugyeom, BTS's Jungkook, SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, DK & The8, Astro's Cha Eunwoo, and NCT's Jaehyun. They try to hang out together as often as they can and update their fans each time it happens. 

6. EXO's D.O. & Park Hyungsik

The two actually attended and graduated together in the same high school. It was reported before that during their high school days, and they performed a duet at their school's festival. They've been spotted close together even after they've achieved stardom. 

7. Red Velvet's Yeri and her "unnies"

Zico and Kyung are known to be Block B's rappers but before they became members of this boy band, they were schoolmates! They attended the same elementary school when they were younger and built their friendship there. They remained close friends when they started their careers as underground rappers and now as idol rappers.
