K-Pop YouTuber and dancer forggstans recently released a video in which she ranked the most popular soloists as dancers. She looked into various aspects, such as technique, isolations, angles, and more. Did your favorite female soloist make it to the list?

5. Sunmi

While Sunmi is known for her amazing and addictive choreography, the idol still has room for improvement. She tends to under dance in her lower area and has the potential to make her moves sharper. However, she has a well-developed hip and torso and they aren't stiff. She also adds unique textures to her moves. She also has a root for musicality, which means she knows how to move her body to the rhythm, though this aspect is underdeveloped. She also has nice angles when she dances.

The soloist is tall and skinny, which usually makes people look awkward and lack fluidity. This doesn't appear to be an issue for her, and her projections are pretty to watch. Sunmi herself has stated that she is not a good dancer, and it does appear that the skills she has now are thanks to her training. Though she has room for improvement, Sunmi has always been a performer and has amazing facials and stage presence.

She was given a rating of 6.7/10.

4. Jeon Somi

Most people seem to forget that Somi is a talented dancer. She has high energy and good facials when she dances, making her suited for the center position she debuted with in I.O.I. However, Somi tends to have low stamina, and noticeably loses energy as she nears the end of her performances. Still, the idol has a well-developed hip and lower area. She still, however, struggles with tension in her moves, making her appear not as fluid. Somi also has difficulty with more intense choreographies, probably due to a lack of power.

She was given a rating of 6.9/10.

3. HyunA

HyunA excels at adding her own flavor in her performances; at one glance, you can tell that a choreography is made for HyunA since she adds her own charm. She has amazing facial expressions and is a performer, always putting her best in each performance. Her moves are strong and she has nice body control and angles. She also good dynamics that add more depth to her dancing. She also has good back alignments and lower area control, probably due to how she is used to performing in heels.

Her biggest area of concern is her projects and extended moves, as sometimes it gets in the way of her dancing. In some rare moments, HyunA's energy can deplete, causing her to under dance.

She was given a rating of 9.3/10.

2. BoA

BoA is a veteran in the K-Pop scene and has been promoting since the early 2000s. BoA has amazing body control and very good isolations. She has control of every part of her body. Her technique is fluidity based, but often break this to executive strong and sharp executions. This is probably due to her strong background in hip-hop. Despite being the oldest idol on the list, she has amazing energy and can pull off very fast and agile movements smoothy.

She is an amazing dancer; she has it all. She is versatile, energetic, and sharp. There is not much needed to be improved. What she can do to be better it watch from other dancers and learn from them to refine her technique.

She was given a rating of 9.8/10.

1. Chungha

Are we surprised? Chungha has been praised for her skills since her appearance on "Produce 101" and is acknowledged by both dancers and non-dancers. Chungha is one of those dancers that are naturally born to dance. Her technique is fluidity based, but, like BoA, she doesn't stay fixed on it and has a lot of variation in her dancing. She has control over every aspect of her body as well. Additionally, she has amazing dynamics, which add a layer of depth to her dances that pull people towards her. With her dynamics, she created well-seperated textures as she executes her moves.

The idol has a strong hip-hop tendency and has a technique that is very adaptable to other styles, making her a versatile dancer. She has good isolations and can pull off body locks that require lots of body control and a refined technique. The one thing the dancer pointed out that she could work on is just refining her executions. Other than that, she is already a top-notch dancer who is capable of pulling off various styles of dancing.

She was given a rating of 9.85/10.
