On November 2, Monday, an unnamed Korean netizen shared a post to an online community forum asking people to determine which foreign TWICE member looks the most Korean. Keep on reading to see who they think it is!
The poster first named off each foreign member. First, they mentioned Tzuyu, who is from Tainan, Taiwan. Tzuyu is TWICE's lead dancer, sub-vocalist, visual, and maknae. She is considered the member who best adheres to the Korean beauty standard and has gone viral numerous times both in Korea and internationally for her visuals. In 2019, she was selected as the 'Most Beautiful Face' in the world.
Next, they mentioned Momo. Momo is TWICE's main dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub-rapper. She was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. Momo is known for her dancing skills and was even scouted for her dance skills. She gained popularity for her aegyo, her innocent visuals, and her appearance on the dance competition show 'Hit The Stage'.
They next mentioned Mina. Mina is the group's main dancer and sub-vocalist. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, United States, but moved to Kobe, Japan when she was a toddler. She grew up in Japan and had dual citizenship up until 2019. Recently, Mina has been getting more and more (see what we did there?) with Korean netizens for her blooming visuals, with people loving the upgraded looks she is serving for 'I CAN'T STOP ME'. In 2019, she ranked 91 in the 'Most Beautiful Faces' list by TC Candler.
Lastly, they mentioned Sana, TWICE's sub-vocalist. Sana was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and was actually training to be an idol in Japan before being scouted by a JYP Entertainment representative. Sana has gone viral countless times for her aegyo, with people loving her ability to be both sexy and cute. In 2019, Sana ranked at number 48 in the 'Most Beautiful Faces' list by TC Candler.
Now, you are probably wondering - who did they select as the member who looks the most Korea? Is it Tzuyu, who is the group's visual and is said to adhere to the Korean beauty standard the most? Or is it one of the Japanese-line members?
Korean netizens actually agree that it is Mina! Many people confessed that when they first got to know TWICE, they actually thought Mina was Korean and only learned later on that she is Japanese.
