Here are the Top 5 Best Performances, as Selected by 90 Idols

Every time a guest or a group appears on an episode of "Weekly Idol," they fill up a list of questions before filming. One of those questions asked was what the coolest performance they've seen recently is. Using all the answers from ninety different K-pop idols from Aug. 2020, here are the five groups or artists who received the most votes and had the coolest performance.

5. SSAK3 - "Beach Again"

Garnering seven votes, SSK3 ranks at fifth place for their song "Beach Again." Idols loved how energetic their performance is, with idols even joining them on their encore stage when they got a music show win on "M! Countdown".

SSAK3 is a supergroup formed on the variety show "Hangout with Yoo" that consists of members Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, and Rain. They each donned the stage name U-Doragon, Linda.G, B.Ryong, respectively. The group plans to be a seasonal group that promotes during winter and summer.

Their debut song, "Beach Again," was a huge commercial success, topping various South Korean real-time charts and ranking number one on the Gaon Digital Chart for five consecutive weeks.

4. ITZY - "NOT SHY"

The third and fourth place actually tied, each garnering eight votes. Coincidentally, both groups are from JYP Entertainment! The first to be mentioned is ITZY with their most recent comeback, "NOT SHY." Fellow idols loved the confidence they exhibited for the choreography, and people continue to cheer them on!

ITZY released "NOT SHY" on Aug. 17 and was well-loved for talking about love and confidence. The song won the group five music show wins. The song reached the top-ten in South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia. 

3. Stray Kids - "God's Menu"

The next JYP Entertainment group to make it in the top five is Stray Kids, with their most recent comeback, "God's Menu." The song was a fresh breath for the group, as they decided to step out of the box with a new concept. On top of that, their performance flaunted their amazing dance skills and showed off their unapologetic energy.

"God's Menu" was written by members of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, who are known as 3racha. The trio also helped arrange the song. The song debuted at number 144 on the Gaon Weekly Download Chart, making it their first time appear on the chart and its first single to appear on Gaon's digital chart's main category. 

2. BTS - "Dynamite"

BTS bagged second place with nine votes with their first-ever all-English song "Dynamite." It would be a surprise if they didn't make a list, seeing as the boys took over both the South Korean and Billboard charts with this song alone. "Dynamite" is a fun disco-themed song that makes everyone want to get on their feet and boogie!

"Dynamite" was released on Aug. 21 and received positive reviews upon release, with people praising how catchy it is. The song is meant to soothe listeners during the coronavirus pandemic and speaks about joy and appreciating the little things in life. Idols and fans agree that they shared that message extremely well. 

1. BLACKPINK - "How You Like That"

Sitting in the first place is the YG Entertainment girl group BLACKPINK with their charismatic and robust song "How You Like That"! Idols seemed to love everything about this song, from their cool choreography to the lyrics. Do you love this song too?
