Former EXO Member Tao Confesses Love to Female Singer
Former EXO member Tao openly confessed his love for a female singer during a live stream on Nov. 21. Keep on reading to learn more about the situation.
On Nov. 21, Tao held a live stream on Weibo and took the time to chat and interact with his fans. During the live stream, Tao confessed that there is a girl that he is in love with.
He said:
"Let me tell you, there is a girl I am in love with. I really love her. If she is willing, if she will accept me, I can reveal it to the world right away tomorrow. I will even marry her tomorrow. I really love her."
While this could sound like he reveals that he has a crush on someone he knows personally, Tao reveals that she is actually a celebrity in a different country. He admitted that he actually tried to send her a direct message, but he did not receive a reply! Tao stresses that this love is more than him adoring her as a fan - he is really in love with her!
The Chinese soloist said:
"I can watch her videos all day! Really, I don't even like her as a fan - I really think I can make her my girlfriend. But I can't see her right now since we are not in the same country. I even tried to send her a direct message, but she never replied. How embarrassing!"
He is understanding of the girl not checking her direct messages, however. He confesses that he himself does not check his direct messages that often, but he still decided to give it a shot. In the live stream, Tao is heard saying:
"But honestly, I don't really check my direct messages too, I don't go into my direct messages but I was trying to... Nevermind, I cannot reveal too much or you guys will look into it. She is from overseas... It can't be helped, honestly."
He ends his confession by saying that if the person ends up liking them back, he will have no problem revealing everything to the world.
"If this becomes a hot issue tomorrow, then I hope that this person will find out that I love her a lot. If this person likes me back and accepts me, then I can reveal everything in a heartbeat."
Throughout his confession, he stresses that what he is feeling is not a fan's love, but a real love. He asks the viewers to not stress over his words if they simply "cannot understand". In the stream, some viewers left comments calling him delirious, to which he replied that those people are "the worst".
Who is the lucky girl Tao is in love with?
While it is unconfirmed which celebrity Tao is in love with, rumors have started going around that it could be Korean soloist IU.
On Instagram, Tao only follows three accounts. Two of them are Shi Xitong and Xi Yiyang, who are both artists under his company label, L.Tao Entertainment. The third person he follows is Korean singer IU.
It is also noted in reports that on the day Tao openly confessed his love for a celebrity on Weibo, he had also shared a photo of IU to his Weibo account. The post has since been deleted. He has also been seen liking IU's post on Instagram.
