TWICE Jihyo Spotted Video Calling Someone Special After KBS Gayo Daechujke Pre-Recording

Recently, videos and photos of the JYP Entertainment girl group TWICE once their way home from pre-recording for the upcoming KBS Gayo Daechujke, which they filmed on Thursday, Dec. 10, started making their rounds. One photo of TWICE member Jihyo especially caught attention.
As reporters and fans snapped photos of the group, Jihyo is seen showing the camera her phone. Quick-eyed fans spotted that the idol was actually on a video call with someone, as the hang-up button and flip-screen button are in view. A TWICE fan site shared the photos to her Twitter account and quickly garnered more than 6,300 retweets. The photo has since been reshared to various online community forums, quickly gaining attention.
The reason it is getting so much attention is that it is believed that the person she is video calling is a fellow TWICE member, Jeongyeon. When fans of Jeongyeon saw the photo, they showered the photo and Jihyo with such enthusiastic reactions, as they have not seen the idol participate in any activities for some time now.
Back in Oct., it was announced by JYP Entertainment that Jeongyeon would not be promoting with TWICE for their "Eyes Wide Open" promotions. According to the company, Jeongyeon is currently struggling with psychological anxiousness concerning her promotional activities with TWICE. After having deep discussions with both Jeongyeon and the other members, all parties decided that it was necessary that Jeongyeon seeks professional medical help and is deserving of much-needed rest.
Due to her hiatus, Jeongyeon has not participated in any of TWICE's activities since the announcement. She has not performed with the group on any music shows, did not participate in any online video call fans or live broadcasts, and did not attend any award sows. Though she did not promote "I Can't Stop Me" with her fellow TWICE members, Jeongyeon did appear in the teasers and the music video for the song and album.
Despite her absence from activities, JYP Entertainment asked fans to show Jeongyeon love and support. as she seeks full recovery The company also asked fans to patiently wait for Jeongyeon's return.
Before her hiatus announcement, Jeongyeon had sat out of TWICE's promotional activities for "MORE & MORE" after injuring her neck. Jeongyeon informed fans that she was suffering from a herniated disc and was seeking hospital treatment secretly. She continued promoting with the group until she could no longer bear the pain. This led people to wonder if her injury led to her psychological anxiety. In the past, Mina also experienced injuries in her lower body, and soon after, she took a break due to her anxiety and mental health. Like Jeongyeon, Mina was seen performing with her injury.
Even this small glimpse of Jeongyeon has made fans extremely happy. People gushed over how much they missed the female idol, saying that it is certain that the person on Jihyo's phone screen is Jeongyeon. Others teased Jihyo, saying she needed to clean her phone screen.
