IU, BTS, Aespa, & More: Billboard Korea List 'Best Record-Holders' in K-pop 100 Chart

Numerous K-pop idols and groups such as IU, Zico, BTS, Aespa, and more were selected for various titles announced by Billboard Korea!

In the article released by Billboard Korea, the domestic music chart announced the groups and stars that dominated the "Billboard K-pop 100" chart throughout their 52-week records.

The list unveiled the songs and K-pop idols that took every K-pop enthusiast's breath this year and created lots of memories for the K-pop industry that is currently striving through non-contact promotion due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In context, "Billboard K-pop 100 was recently launched in September that released weekly and monthly single charts containing the top 100 and most popular songs in Korea.

Best Steady Seller

Billboard Korea first listed the songs and groups that showed the " power of steadiness" and remained in places despite the release of new popular songs.

In this list, IU reigned in No. 1 with 3 songs that remained for 52 weeks in the chart. These include "Love Poem," "Blueming," and "Through the Night."

BTS "A Poem for Little Things," Red Velvet's "Pyscho," Taeyeon's "Four Seasons," and more were also songs that maintained their ranking on charts for 52 weeks.

Billboard K-pop 100 "Best Song"

Undoubtedly, BTS "Dynamite" topped the list, staying at No. 1 for 17 weeks. In addition to this, it also topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for three times, the first Korean act to do so.

Aside from BTS, IU's "Eight" Prod.& Feat.SUGA of BTS ranked second ( No. 1 for six weeks), along with Zico "Any song" (six weeks), followed by SSAK3's "Beach Again" (five weeks), Gaho's "Start" (four weeks), BLACKPINK "How You Like That" (four weeks), BTS "On" (three weeks), Jo Jung Suk "Aloha," etc.

MOST WEEKS IN THE TOP 10

In this ranking, OH MY GIRL's "Dolphin" stayed in the top 10 for 20 weeks, ranking No.1 for group track with "Most weeks in the Top 10."

This was followed by Hwasa's "Maria," who entered the top 10 for 19 consecutive weeks.

Best Hot Shot Debut

Though the following songs don't always reign at No. 1, their debut this year created massive noise among the music scene.

Zico's "Any Song," becomes the hottest release in 2020. Billboard, Korea wrote, "In 2020, Zico's No. 1 song was special. It was intense from the start, and the intensity lasted a long time. Immediately after its release, it went straight to No. 1 (as of January 18), and it is the only debut song of 2020. (BTS''Dynamite' debuted at 51st in the first week and then rose to the top.)"

Best Rookie

Aespa's "BLACK MAMBA" proved its superiority as a rookie group after becoming the highest-ranking debut track in Billboard K-pop 100 at No. 33.

TREASURE, CRAVITY, WEEEKLY, STAYC, Woo!ah!, SECRET NUMBER, ENHYPEN, P1Harmony, and Drippin' were also mentioned in the category as rookie groups who showcased favorable result.
