BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE & More: K-Pop Albums with the Most Streams on Spotify Revealed

There is no denying that 2020 has been a good year for most K-Pop acts. Several K-Pop albums have been released and sold this year amid the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently, a famous Korean media website listed all the Top 10 Most-Streamed K-Pop albums in 2020. As expected, BTS topped it again. Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jungkook, and V's "Map of the Soul: 7" album reigned supreme this year. As of this writing, it has sold more than 4.3 million copies worldwide.

The first LP of the South Korean boyband group in 2020 included a total of 20 songs, including "00:00," "Louder Than Bomb," "My Time," "Black Swan," "Filter," "UGH!" "ON" and "Dionysus" among others. The entertainment news website revealed that "Map of the Soul: 7" has garnered a total of 2.37 billion streams, with "Boy with Luv" having played more than 576 million times this year.

Coming second in "The Album" by BLACKPINK. The first full-length studio album of Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa included a total of eight songs, namely: "Pretty Savage," "Lovesick Girls," "Crazy Over You," "Love to Hate," "Ice Cream," and "How You Like That" among others.

According to Koreaboo, BLACKPINK's "The Album" has sold more than 1.2 million copies around the globe already. It has been streamed 1.02 billion times in 2020, with "How You Like That" having the most streams with more than 331 million.

The "BE" album of BTS nabbed the third spot. The second album of Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jungkook, and V in 2020 effortlessly dominated music charts after its release on Nov. 20. The LP has a total of eight songs, which include "Skit," "Telepathy," "Dis-ease," "Stay," "Fly to My Room," "Life Goes On," and "Dynamite," among others.

The entertainment news outlet shared that the "BE" album has garnered a total of 922 million streams this year. "Dynamite" is said to the most streamed track, having played more than 561 million times in 2020. The LP has sold more than 2.6 million copies worldwide.

BTS also took the fourth rank with their album titled "Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey." The LP, which was released in July, included 13 tracks, namely: "Stay Gold," "FAKE LOVE," "Black Swan," "IDOL," "Airplane," "Boy With Luv," and "Make It Right," among others.

Koreaboo divulged Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jungkook, and V's fourth Japanese studio album had amassed a total of 306 million streams on Spotify in 2020. "Stay Gold," as expected, has the most streams with 99.2 million. The "Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey" album has sold more than 750,000 units worldwide.

Taking the fifth spot is, "D-2" by Agust D. The said album has a total of eight tracks, which include "Moonlight," "What Do You Think?" "Strange," "Burn It," "People," "Honsool," and "23," among others.

The entertainment news website claimed that the album had garnered a total of 225 million streams this year. "Daechwita" has the most streams with almost 74 million. For starters, Agust D is the title of BTS member Suga goes by for his unaccompanied works.

6. "In Life" by Stray Kids - Got a total of 215 million streams on Spotify, with "God's Menu" being the most-streamed song. The album has sold more than 430,000 copies already.

7. "IT'z ME" by ITZY - Got a total of almost 149 million streams on Spotify, with "WANNABE" being the most-streamed song. The album has sold almost 151,000 copies worldwide.

8. "Neo Zone: The Final" by NCT 127 - Got a total of 148.5 million streams on Spotify, with "Kick It" being the most-streamed song. The album has sold more than 601,000 units already.

9. "More & More" by TWICE - Got a total of 133 million streams on Spotify, with "More & More" being the most-streamed song. The album has sold more than 569,000 copies worldwide.

10. "Eyes Wide Open" by TWICE - Got a total of 117 million streams on Spotify, with "I Can't Stop Me" being the most-streamed song. The album has sold more than 473,000 copies already.
