Aespa Karina’s High School Friend Begs People to Stop Sending Her Hate + #ApologizeToKarina Trends on Twitter
A post made by a presumed high school friend of Aespa member Karina has started gaining traction from both local and international fans. To protect Karina, fans have started trending #ApologizeToKarina. Keep on reading to learn more.
The high school friend of Karina, who chose to remain unnamed, made a post to the South Korean online community forum TheQoo, where they begged people to stop sending Karina hate. In their post, they described Karina as having a bright personality and that she had a good relationship with her peers. She was also famous in her school and was well-known for being warm and kind. The poster stresses that the rumors spread against her are all baseless and mentions that Karina had once helped her through a difficult time in their life.
Her whole post reads:
"I can guarantee that Yoo Jimin (Karina) is a very kind person, She went to the same school as me and we attended school together. She was famous for her warm personality.
Yoo Jimin has always gone out of her way to help people who struggled or were isolated and bullied ever since she was a middle school student. She always had a good relationship with her peers, whether they were older or younger than her, due to her good-natured personality. Yoo Jimin has never discriminated against people. In fact, she even invited me to her house because I did not have any friends. She always cared about the underdogs and approached people first and befriended them. She also personally helped me when I was going through a time where I was thinking about ending my life.
I truly hope people do not people the absurd rumors made against Jimin. She has suffered a lot due to those rumors. Please... She is so young, she is only 20 years old."
This is not the first time a school mate has spoken up to defend Karina. Back in Oct. 2020, old school mates of Karina made a post to numerous online community forums debunking the rumors made against the Aespa member. The two, who call themselves Karina's best friends, have stated that all of the posts made against her are from acquaintances and church mates who were not close to Karina, and they deleted the posts after being asked to.
They also defended Karina by saying that she never drank alcohol as a minor. There was also a time in which an alleged friend shared text messages shared between her and Karina in which the idol is seen supposedly insulting EXO, NCT, and label mate Kai. However, they claimed the texts were fabricated, as Karina was busy filming at the time and could not be texting.

They also defended Karina against claims that she bullied fellow trainees. Instead, they claimed that Karina is actually close to the trainees and had taken care of them.

Fans of Karina have since trended the hashtag #ApologizeToKarina. Fans are using the hashtag to clear the searches of anything negative about Karina and inform people about her true nature; about how kind she is and how much she cares for her fans and the other members of Aespa. Others have used the hashtag to expose those who have spread malicious comments against Karina despite how it was proven that the rumors against her are false.
