BLACKPINK is the Girl Group Who Gained the Most Twitter Followers in February 2021

Sitting at first place in the female category is BLACKPINK, who gained 238,036 followers on Twitter in Feb. Their end of the month total tallied in at 3,422,256. As of press time, BLACKPINK has 3.6 million followers on the platform. BLACKPINK came in at number six in overall Twitter growth among K-pop groups in that month.

BLACKPINK established their Twitter account on Jun. 2020, four years after their official debut. The account was opened ahead of the group's "How You Like That" comeback. Unlike most K-pop group accounts, BLACKPINK does not upload any selfies or daily photos. Instead, YG Entertainment uses the BLACKPINK Twitter to update fans of the girls' activities, new YouTube uploads and congratulates BLACKPINK on their achievements.

TWICE Gains Over 200,000 New Twitter Followers

Following after BLACKPINK is the JYP Entertainment girl group, TWICE! The K-pop girl group gained 204,638 new followers on Twitter in Feb., bring their end of the month total follower count to 7,422,081. As of press time, TWICE has 7.5 million followers. TWICE is the most followed K-pop girl group on Twitter.

TWICE established their Twitter account on Apr. 2015, six months before their debut. Notably, the page was established even before "SIXTEEN," the survival show that formed TWICE, started airing. TWICE uses their Twitter page to share their activities, achievements, and YouTube uploads. The company also uses the page to share group photos of the girls.
