Starting with two days of concerts in Seoul, Girls' Generation will open up their first-ever world concert tour.

On June 8 and 9, Girls' Generation will perform at Seoul Olympic Stadium under the banner, '2013 Girls' Generation World Tour - Girls & Peace.'

The upcoming concert will be the third solo concert in Korea for Girls' Generation. The nine-member girl group who has risen to the top of K-pop and reigned over it for the last six years upon their debut in 2007 will be traveling to various countries to perform at their first solo world concert tour.

Recently, Girls' Generation became the winner of a survey done by an American music website, Pop Dust, which set out to find today's greatest girl group in the world. Garnering more votes than British girl group The Saturdays and American girl group

The details of the world tour with regards to the number of countries, exact locations, time and date have not been announced. The fans of Girls' Generation have some painstaking waiting to do, but after all, it is a happy one.
