NU'EST Members Share Handwritten Letters to Fans Following Disbandment
Following news of their disbandment, the NU'EST members share handwritten and heartfelt letters to their fans LOVE.

NU'EST Announces Disbandment Following Contract Expiration
On February 28, NU'EST's label Pledis Entertainment announced that the group members' exclusive contracts with the label will be expiring this coming March 14, and with that, members Ren, Aron, and JR have decided not to renew. While Minhyun and Baekho will remain in the label to pursue their individual careers.
NU'EST is Pledis Entertainment's first boy group launched, and have been with the label for over 10 years.
To cap off their official activities as NU'EST, the group will be releasing their final album in March.
NU'EST Members Share Handwritten Letters to Fans
Following news of their disbandment, each of the five members took to the global fan community platform Weverse to share their handwritten and heartfelt letters to their fans, LOVE.
JR's letter
In his letter, JR wrote:
"Hello, this is NU'EST's JR. Now that it is almost spring, it seems like winter is preparing for one final cold spell. How are LOVE doing?
I don't know how to say this, so I have been rewriting this a dozen times. After a long period of thinking and discussing, the members have each decided to go on their own ways. When I look back on the past 13 years, counting both of the times it took us to prepare our debut as NU'EST and the time that we spent with all of you as NU'EST, there isn't a time where I don't feel grateful. I know well that that was possible because of LOVE and the members, so I am still afraid and scared to stand alone.
I feel like there isn't anything I can say to comfort LOVE's disappointment and pain. I also don't think that I can express in writing just how much I love LOVE and thought of them. You have watched over us in our teens and twenties and helped us walk in only the best and most beautiful paths, and I genuinely thank and love you. This love and gratitude is not in the past, but in the present and future.
I also bow my head in gratitude to Pledis' staff, including CEO Han Sung Soo, who have led and watched over a country boy who didn't know anything so that he wouldn't go into the wrong path.
I intend to keep building my experiences properly and sincerely just like I have been doing until now.
When the spring blooms and the warm breeze blow, I will greet you again with good news.

Aron's letter
For Aron, he wrote:
"Hello, our LOVE. This is NU'EST's Aron.
Even as I am writing this, I am worried about what to say. NU'EST debuted in 2012 and have ran until 2022, while only looking at LOVE. In the past 10 years, there were a lot of hard times and moments that made us want to give up, but we were able to overcome them thanks to LOVE. Thanks to you, I was able to learn a lot about love, gratitude, and preciousness. Thank you so much. It was through NU'EST that I was able to meet our LOVE and share the happiest and most precious moments of my life with LOVE. Thank you for giving me memories that will last a lifetime. I was really happy.
I am very scared and nervous to do things alone, but don't be too sad because we will always be together. I am going to keep working hard to repay the love that I have received over the past 10 years, so I'd be grateful if you kept on walking this path with me.
Please show your love and support for the members of NU'EST members, who will continue to shine in the future.
To LOVE, I am sorry, thank you, love you."
Baekho's letter
Baekho wrote:
"Hello, this is NU'EST's Baekho.
I have already spent the past 10 years as NU'EST's Baekho. If I think about everything that has happened before our debut until today, I have cherished new dreams, achieved thoses, made new dreams, as well as experienced things I never imagined.
To be honest, it hasn't been long since I began realizing that I can be this thankful for ten years. I am so grateful to the members because I can say this and thankful LOVE and to countless other people.
The time that we spent together has made me who I am today and will continue to make who I am in the future.
Even though there were times when I felt desperate or frustrated, the more time I spent with LOVE, the more I wanted to be together with you for a long time. In the future, I will continue to walk step by step while sharing emotions like laughter with you. To the NU'EST members, I love you.

Minhyun's letter
In Minhyun's letter, he wrote:
"Hello, LOVE, this is NU'EST's Minhyun. It has been while since I have expressed myself through a handwritten letter, but I grabbed a pen because there was something that I wanted to share.
I have many worried about how I will say this to LOVE, who are waiting with happiness and excitement for our 10th anniversary since debut. After having a lot of discussions about NU'ESTs future with the agency and members, we have decided to make a fresh start.
From our debut in 2012 until now in 2022, we have only looked forward. There were a lot of times when we were tired and exhausted and wanted to cry, but we thought of LOVE and overcame it. The reason that we were able to run so far without getting tired, our driving force, was the love and support of LOVE. I will never forget the gratitude I felt for the love you gave us.
LOVE, thank you for giving us such warm and happy moments. I was happy. By meeting LOVE, I learned how to give and receive love. I will repay your love by working for a long time sincerely.
Finally, I hope that you'll also walk together with the other NU'EST members, who are my closest friends and family, towards a brilliance."
Ren's letter
And finally, Ren wrote:
"Hello, this is NU'EST's Ren.
First of all, I am only sorry to LOVE who must have been waiting for the news about our contract renewal.
It feels like it was yesterday that I was 16 and left my parents to become a trainee to achieve my dream of becoming a singer. But somehow, it's already 10 years since I debuted as NU'EST.
When I was younger, I felt homesick for my family and caused people to worry with my anxiety and nervousness about my debut, but because I was with the members, we were able to run together towards our goal. After making our debut, I was able to endure everything thanks to LOVE, who was always with us and gave us happy moments. It was a warm and happy time that I spent with LOVE.
As it's been long, it was more difficult making this decision... but I have decided to leave NU'EST and walk a slightly different path. It isn't a path I have walked before, so I am a little scared and cautious, but I will take courage and walk it. It feels unfamiliar to not know which path will open for me, but I'll use the work that I have done until now as my driving force and walk forward bravely.
I think that I am able to exist because of the members and LOVE. I won't forget my feelings right now and walk with confidence. I am grateful for the moments I spent as NU'EST's Ren."
