TWICE Nayeon Warms Tzuyu's Heart During Lunch Date
On March 22, TWICE uploaded a video to YouTube. In the video, members Nayeon and Tuzyu were seen on a lunch date. It was revealed that though they have been together for nearly six years, this is the first time the two have gone on a date without the other members. Though awkward at first, Nayeon and Tzuyu were able to open up to one another throughout the meal.

As they were eating, Nayeon revealed that there were several times she was grateful and proud that Tzuyu was part of TWICE. Though she appeared embarrassed at her sudden confession, Nayeon continued, saying she often thought about how grateful she is for Tzuyu.
She expanded further, saying, "People paid a lot of attention to us in the beginning because of you. And because of you, they had a chance to get to know the rest of us." Nayeon credits Tzuyu for playing a significant role in kickstarting TWICE's career.

Because of Tzuyu's impact on TWICE's popularity, Nayeon thanked her. At this, Tzuyu appeared shy, shaking her head as if to deny her role in TWICE's fame. Seeing this, Nayeon told Tzuyu, "I really mean it."

At the end of the lunch, when nearly all the cameras had stopped rolling, Nayeon pointed out that Tzuyu looked so happy. The latter let out an embarrassed laugh before confessing, "I was really touched by what you said."

Nayeon appeared shocked by the statement, asking Tzuyu, "And you waited for the cameras to turn off to say that?" The staff members asked what Tzuyu had said, to which Nayeon reiterated what was told to her. Tzuyu was seen laughing, covering her face with her coat out of embarrassment.

TWICE Tzuyu's Popularity During Early Debut Date
During their time on the survival show "SIXTEEN," Tzuyu was considered the most popular contestant. In viewer voting, Tzuyu often rocked at the top, proving her popularity among the viewers. Though she was initially not part of TWICE's seven-member line-up, she was added to the group in the end due to her popularity with the public.

Her popularity only rose following their debut. The idol went viral during their first appearance on "Music Bank" for "Like OOH-AHH." At the time, Tzuyu's fan cams and TWICE's official videos of her often went viral on YouTube and social media.
Her popularity soared in 2016 when the group competed in Idol Star Athletics Competition (ISAC). Tzuyu's hair got caught in her arrow during the archery competition, leading to an accidental hair flip. The mistake cost her the shot, but she went viral internationally for her graceful image.
