Kim Chaewon's Debut Photos for LE SSERAFIM Draws Mixed Reactions – Are They 'Too Sexy'?

At midnight on April 7, Kim Chaewon, a former IZ*ONE member, was introduced as the fourth member of LE SSERAFIM through the YouTube channel of HYBE Labels. It was then revealed that she will be the leader of the soon-to-debut group.

At the same time, the idol's profile photos and debut teaser set was also posted on SNS. In her images, Chaewon flaunted her chic visual, even showing off her sexy charms in the video teaser.

While a lot of K-pop fans were impressed by her mature beauty, others conveyed their embarrassment over the alleged excessive exposure of the singer.

This is because unlike her cute and fresh charm when she was in IZ*ONE, Kim transformed 180 degrees and now boasts a sexy image for her soon-to-launch team.

In the videos, people pointed out her unconventional 'fits, such as her bra top and mesh stocking, and showing a little bit of skin.

People also criticized HYBE for the sexy concept, when Chaewon just turned 21.

Meanwhile, girl group LE SSERAFIM, which is launched in cooperation with HYBE and Source Music, is scheduled to debut in May.

Even before their debut, the upcoming group received massive attention not only as BTS's "Little Sister Group" but due to former IZ*ONE Sakura and Chaewon's re-debut as well.
